There’s nothing better than a Texas summer wedding! Alyssa and Trenton’s original wedding date was moved from March to August of 2020 due to, you guessed it, the pandemic. This change of date did not stop them from having the best wedding day possible! They had to cut down their guest list a little bit, but it was still such a fun party!
This Texas summer wedding day started out with some strange weather, with the wind picking up during their outdoor ceremony and some pouring rain soon after. Nothing a few clear umbrellas can’t fix for some super sweet bride and groom portraits! The umbrella shots ended up being some of our favorites from the day. We raced to go do the couple portraits right after the ceremony as it was quickly getting dark, the positive side to weird weather on your wedding day is it often leads to some really cool moody skies in your photos!
The rain did end up holding out until just as we reached their reception venue, then the heavens opened up and let loose. Luckily, we were indoors for the rest of the night and it was time to party! We were so relieved that we were able to get their couples photos done before we all got soaked. Sometimes the time crunch of impending rain and losing light helps push us to be our most creative and we end up capturing some incredible images for our couples!
