This one was a special wedding for me! My best friend in high school had an older sister and when she got married, she had a baby not too long after that. She was the cutest baby ever and Sandra and I would babysit her, drive her around with us and just gush over her. She looked a lot like my best friend and still does to this day! So when they contacted me and told me Hayley was getting married, of course I felt very old! But really honored that they chose me to capture their wedding day. Not only did I get to do my job that I love to do, I got to spend time with a family that I have been so close to my whole life. It was really surreal that I got to watch this beautiful lady become a wife when I really remember her as a little baby.
At first, Hayley had a friend that was building a venues near the Oklahoma border and was going to get an amazing deal to be the first one to get married there. But it just wasn’t 100 percent that they would be finished in time so she decided to go with Avalon Legacy Ranch in McKinney. It’s such a unique wedding venue with the outdoor rustic ceremony spot and the outdoor covered patio reception area. The grounds are very raw and organic and makes for the prettiest pictures! The set up is very romantic garden like and woodsy. It’s very fairytale like which I totally believe fits this couple to the T. They were friends for years and during college, took it to the next level. I’ve always believed the best marriages are built on strong friendships! They planned the funnest party and we danced the night away on a hot October Texas evening. It was perfect and so special for me! Love that I got to witness this sweet couple begin their happily ever after!
