One thing we love most here at Silver Bear Creative is TRAVEL! We love exploring new places and discovering new people and cultures and areas. It really fuels our creativity and gives us ideas for future shoots. Texas is great and all but where we live, there isn’t much diversity in the landscape and we feel like sometimes we are shooting the same wedding or session over and over again. So when the opportunity to shoot and film a wedding in England came to us, we jumped on it! It’s always been a dream to get across the pond and it felt like forever that we had to wait for this wedding to get here. But finally it did and we were flying over to England to work a wedding! Dream come true!
This fun couple warned us that they weren’t lovely dovie and weren’t sure how they would be in front of the camera. They don’t like a lot of attention on themselves, are very laid back and not used to the drama that most weddings bring. So they planned a small wedding full of family at a location they knew and loved. We assured them that everyone is the same, they don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera but that’s why we are here! Our job is to get you to relax, forget that there is a camera and just be yourselves with each other.
We met a couple of days before the wedding and had a little photo shoot, mainly to get to know each other, but secondly, they lived near the White Cliffs of Dover. So yeah, we were going to definitely shoot there! We walked and talked and had fun exploring this new to us place. They gave us history on the area, the castle there and little antidotes about the town. It was fun seeing it through their eyes. After the shoot, we had dinner together and chilled and connected. Really, that’s our goal! They trusted us to handle their day and capture it their way, not create it into something that wasn’t them.
They’ve been overjoyed with their images and loved their sneak peek of the film Kris is editing. We caught some awesome candids, delivered gorgeous family pictures, and captured stunning romantic formals of the two of them, even though they thought they weren’t going to be like that together! But they were so happy and that is what spills out when we start shooting. They were comfortable with us and opened up and we got some amazing images that they will have forever!
And because they are marathon runners, we had to get the running picture! Becca was determined to win and she did! They were so much fun and we’d do it all over again. Hopefully this isn’t the last time we fly over the pond for a wedding. Travel is addicting and we can’t wait to see more new places next year!
Thanks again Becca and Adrian for having us over to party with you guys! Love you guys!
