Kari + Tyler Wedding | Lake Lewisville Backyard Wedding

One of our past brides referred this family to us and when we met in studio, we instantly fell in love with them. Like…we wanted to be apart of their family. For real. They are so genuinely nice, laid back and chill and you can tell they would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it. We talked for awhile that first meeting and at the end, they just knew we were the ones to capture their daughter’s day honestly, authentically and completely. They’re not about the glitz and glam or pretending to be something they aren’t. They planned the perfect backyard wedding ever! Kris and I looked forward to this wedding all summer and finally it was here!

We met at their home, the home Kari grew up in and now she was getting married in. Getting ready in her parent’s bathroom just felt absolutely perfect. The weather was perfect and once the sun started to set, we started the ceremony as their friends and family sat all around and felt like they were apart of it instead of just spectators. As boats wizzed by, they said their vows simply and sweetly and finally were pronounced husband and wife! It was such a sweet moment and exactly them, barefoot bride and all!

Their neighbors allowed us to use their backyards for pictures and it was just picturesque. Stunning landscaping and pools, string lights and water views set our creative brains in gear and we had a blast coming up with different poses! It was so fun shooting in a place we’ve never been before. The clouds parted and gave us the prettiest light to work with! We could have stayed out there all evening! But we had to get back to the party. They finished the night off with dinner and drinks and everyone had such a fun time. They treated us like part of the family and it’s so awesome when clients become friends. We really hope we get to see this family again!

Congrats you two! Can’t wait to see the film Kris is editing!
